Karen Felecia Nance

public speaker, writer, and Child support specialist 


Karen Nance has been a Child Support Attorney since 2000. Prior to this, she worked as a government Criminal Defense Attorney for ten years. She has been a licensed private investigator since 2008.

In 2017, she received training with Insight Prison Project (IPP), a Restorative Justice Agency, in San Rafael, CA. There, she was trained in IPP's Victim/Offender Dialogue process and their Victim/Offender Education Group, and worked with individuals considered some of the state’s most dangerous criminals to ensure justice on all sides. Karen also has training in Family Mediation, Parenting Coordination and Restorative Practices.

Karen is currently working on her grandmother's biography, a fascinating story of 4 decades as secretary to W. E. B. DuBois, and is touring as a public speaker on topics of empowerment, ie. finding your "Stilettos at Sixty."
